Commemorating Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah, PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) distributed sacrificial meat to the community and a number of community organizations (Ormas), as a form of embodiment of the implementation of the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) which is intensively promoted by all State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

One form of manifestation of the implementation of the TJSL Program can be seen in the slaughtering and delivery of sacrificial meat which is centered at the Rekind Head Office (Home Base), in Kalibata, South Jakarta, Saturday 1 July 2023.

Present at this activity was Edy Sutrisman, SVP Corporate Secretary & Legal Rekind, accompanied by the Corporate Communication Manager, Tomy Bustomi, Radinal Faldi, Secretariat Manager and a number of high-ranking officials from the nation’s integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) company. “This distribution of Qurbani meat is Rekind’s effort to continue to strengthen synergy between the company and the community. Apart from that, this step is also a manifestation of the implementation of the BUMN TJSL Program as a form of concern for the progress and welfare of society. “Hopefully what we do will be approved by Allah SWT,” said Edy Sutrisman.

Through the Ulul Albab Ta’lim Majlis Spiritual Activities Unit, Rekind and its subsidiaries distributed sacrificial animals totaling 6 cows and 24 goats/sheep. Of this amount, 4 cows and 24 goats/sheep sacrificed were intended for six social foundations and community organizations (Ormas) located around the Rekind office, including parties entitled to receive from the Sector Police and Koramil authorities in the Pancoran District area, Jakarta South. Plus 250 recipients from internal company parties, such as temporary employees, security, drivers and cleaning employees.

Meanwhile, 2 other sacrificial cows belonging to PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), on Thursday (29/6), were handed over by Rekind to community members in RW 08, Kalibata Village, Pancoran, South Jakarta. RW 08 is the closest area to the Rekind Head Office.

The sacrificial meat of two cows is intended for 500 residents who are entitled to receive it, from 1,116 heads of families (KK) in RW 08, Kalibata. The chairman of RW 08, Marzuki, positively appreciated this activity.

According to him, this activity, which is routinely carried out every year, has its own meaning, especially the creation of closeness between the company and the community, and what is no less important is that it can lighten the burden on its citizens a little. “Through Rekind, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) and the Ministry of BUMN who regularly hold this activity. “Hopefully what we are doing can bring a little happiness to our citizens. Through this activity, we also hope that Rekind, representing state-owned companies, can continue to contribute to the nation and state,” said Marzuki.

In the Balikpapan RDMP Project, Rekind, which is part of the Joint Operation (JO), also prioritizes the role of TJSL by handing over 7 cows and 15 goats to be sacrificed. The delivery was allocated to 17 areas in Balikpapan City and villages closest to project activities. Among them, the Balikpapan Mayor’s Office, Balikpapan Police, West Balikpapan Koramil, Kariangau Village, Margasari and Karang Jati. “We will continue to make maximum efforts to carry out activities that directly involve the community, so that there is good togetherness and complement each other, especially in launch the activities that the company is currently carrying out,” said Edy Sutrisman.
