PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) assesses that the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) Implementation of PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) is the fastest compared to other Subsidiaries. Not only is it fastest, the TKDN implementation implemented by the nation’s EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) company is also in accordance with the procedures and principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), which are translated and stipulated in the strategic program of Pupuk Indonesia (PI) as the holding.
There are eight GCG values translated by PI and included in its eight strategic programs, namely sustainable procurement, domestic component level (TKDN), partner performance, online guarantees, online transparency, anti-bribery system, due diligence and gratification control.
Therefore, for its hard work, in front of around 200 participants who attended the Vendor Gathering event, in Surabaya, Friday (13/10), Pupuk Indonesia awarded Rekind the award for Contribution to Increasing Empowerment of MSMEs & Use of Domestic Products – Fastest TKDN Implementation.
“This award reflects PI’s trust in the implementation of TKDN carried out by Rekind since 2013. In that year we have carried out TKDN calculations and managed them so that the achievements meet the requirements in each project carried out by Rekind and reported to the project owner,” explained President Director of Rekind Triyani Utaminingsih.
In fact, the woman who is familiarly called Yani also claims that among PI’s subsidiaries, Rekind has had a P3DN Team (Program for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products) since 2021. At that time, Rekind was the only one who already had a P3DN Team, TKDN implementation policies and procedures. “While other PI subsidiaries only started creating this P3DN Team this year, we have managed it well,” added Yani proudly.
It should be noted that Rekind’s efforts to increase the value of TKDN have started from the creation of project proposals, initial engineering design (Front End Engineering Design/FEED) to the implementation of project development or construction. Even in procuring goods and services, Rekind as a contractor always sets a TKDN value limit that must be met by each vendor and/or sub-contractor in their respective work contracts.
So, it is not surprising that in implementing project activities carried out by Rekind, the TKDN can reach around 35-50%. Sometimes, for some projects, Rekind also adds TKDN above 70%, even 80%, so that it is able to exceed the agreed commitment. This is the strategic role of Rekind as a National EPC company, in supporting national development and driving the industrial sector in the country.
