The story of Rekind in Power & Mining began several decades ago, where we started our business in developing 2 x 25 MW Turbine Generators of Steam Power Plants, construction of Geothermal Power Plants, and Cement Plants with a capacity of 7,500 T / day in 1990’s

This time, we have a privilege of becoming a leading EPC Indonesia Company with extensive experience in successfully developing more than 2000 MW of combined power plants (coal, gas and geothermal) throughout the archipelago since then.

The abbreviation name of REKIND comes from “PT Rekayasa Industri”, an organization specifically established with the aim of serving the development of the EPC industry. Power & Mining in REKIND is managed by a single Strategic Business Unit, taking into account similar competencies and knowledge in the business project planning process. By doing that, we have created a collection of expertise in both industries that can be applied effectively to each client from the related project.

Naturally, Indonesia has geologically a land of abundant geothermal resources. As part of a comprehensive approach to national energy development, over the past decade the government has intensified its efforts to improve and accelerate the development of geothermal energy as a clean, renewable and environmentally friendly energy source.

We not only pioneered and contributed to this effort, we have also taken the lead in developing capabilities and expertise in the engineering and construction of geothermal power plants. At present, REKIND has given a signal to almost every geothermal power plant in Indonesia.

Furthermore, following the government’s plan to add 35 GW of power capacity, we have successfully completed several Coal-Fired Steam Power Plants and CNG plant projects for Peaker Power Plants. By utilizing our expertise in the fields of geothermal energy and thermal power plants, REKIND intends to utilize its global network and competitive advantage to support the development of power plants in the rapidly growing ASEAN region.

Southeast Asia is an region rich in mineral resources. Therefore, we have developed the ability to design and build factories that process mineral and metal resources, such as ferronickel, coal, aluminium and cement, in a more productive and cost-effective way. The capabilities of the REKIND project include coal regasification and coal quality improvement, as well as general ore processing. Because of very important environmental considerations, we are proactively taking further steps to deepen our knowledge in this area, offering comprehensive services such as the design and construction of Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Management Systems and Demineralization Plants. In addition, we also strive to ensure that all projects are designed to be efficient energy and in accordance with harmonious environmental requirements and regulations, ensuring long-term sustainability that is highly expected and beneficial to clients.

Working together with REKIND, clients can add real value when it comes to designing and building complex infrastructure projects, which are part of industrial plants, such as ports and coal terminals. We bring a holistic, multidisciplinary engineering approach, as well as an in-depth understanding of environmental impacts and regulations. After being obtained, we proactively recommend, design, and implement infrastructure facilities that are efficient, high quality, and in accordance with environmental friendliness, and therefore we can make our client’s final goals become a reality.
