PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) through the Corporate Communication and Secretariat Division which is under the auspices of the Corporate Secretary & Legal Unit was awarded the best Government Public Relations award, through the 2023 Indonesia GPR (Government Public Relations) Awards (IGA).

This event is the first means of competition, appreciation and sharing of experiences carried out by Indonesian Public Relations. The aim is directed at government public relations practitioners within Ministries, Institutions, Regional Governments, State Universities, BUMN, BUMN Subsidiaries, BUMD and RSUP/RSUD throughout Indonesia.

“We are very proud of the achievements of this award. “Of course, this appreciation is one of our encouragements to continue to work well for the company’s progress,” said Edy Sutrisman, SVP Corporate Secretary & Legal Rekind.

Moreover, continued Edy Sutrisman, IGA 2023 can be used as a barometer of the government’s highest public relations performance throughout the year, especially in 2022. Rekind believes that IGA is able to encourage the creation of government public relations that is strategic and contributive to Indonesia’s reputation.

At this event, Rekind presented a number of strategies and steps to approach public communication, especially in responding to various dynamics that are developing today, both internally and externally.

Rekind is in the form of keeping the rhythm of the company’s existence running well and optimally. Every effort is being made to the maximum, including by encouraging and improving the competence of all Rekind crew who work in it.

“We continue to optimize the structure within our Division, from officials at the top level to the lower levels. Everyone synergizes well to be able to improve their respective roles. So that any assignment carried out by the company, especially those related to both internal and external communication activities, can be carried out well, even without the presence of a third party. “The results are very encouraging,” emphasized VP Corporate Communication & Secretariat Dina T. Harianja.

One of the efforts carried out by Rekind independently and presented at the IGA 2023 event is Media Monitoring activities. This effort is a series of processes of reading, observing, or listening to information from various media sources on an ongoing basis. The process continues by identifying, categorizing, storing and analyzing news content consisting of certain topics or keywords. From here you can monitor how much positive and negative information is related to the company.

The role of company reputation is very important. Public reputation influences the success or failure of a company. If a brand/company is experiencing conflict, the audience usually tends to bring up the issue and discuss it in the media. This is where one of the functions of Media Monitoring is, namely detecting developments in company issues.

Priority issues certainly need to be handled more quickly so that an issue does not reach a crisis situation and endanger the company’s image. By detecting issues earlier, an issue can be followed up more quickly. “We have prepared this mechanism well and in a focused manner so that the company’s existence is well maintained,” continued Dina.
