PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) received another award. This time it came through the Awarding 2nd Indonesia DEI & ESG AWARDS (IDEAS) 2023 event. At the competition event initiated by Indonesian Public Relations, Rekind was awarded the Silver award for the Sustainable ESG Program Communication Strategy Category. The embedding was carried out at Urbanview Hotel Belitung Lodge Resto, Air Selumar, Sijuk, Kab. Belitung, not long ago.
Rekind conveys appreciation for its breakthrough in building communication with all stakeholders in the Bojonegoro area, East Java, which is packaged in the Stop by Program (Program Mampir).
“I appreciate the hard work of friends within the Corporate Secretary and the Jambaran Tiung Biru Project who are actively collaborating to jointly carry out this Mampir Program, so that a conducive situation in project work can be well maintained. “Of course, this award also brings its own spirit to Rekind,” said Edy Sutrisman, SVP Corporate Secretary & Legal Rekind.
The Drop-In Program that Rekind is putting forward at this prestigious national event has its own characteristics and uniqueness, especially in supporting Rekind’s operational activities in the National Strategic Project (PSN). Its uniqueness lies in its mission, namely conveying information about job and business opportunities to the main target of the community around the project area.
Through simple meetings held only in coffee shops or in the fields, the community is not only invited to work and strive, but is also instilled with knowledge and understanding in the scope of Rekind’s work in the field of EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning). Not a few local workers who were initially just helpers, thanks to the transfer of knowledge and know-how provided by Rekind, were able to advance to become reliable workers and play an important role in project activities. In terms of local business, it is no less exciting. Now, quite a few people are born into successful local entrepreneurs.
Those who were initially laypeople are now able to run businesses reliably which can boost the economic level and invite other people to join in the work.
“In previous projects, Rekind also put forward similar efforts with different steps but still within the same goal corridor, smoothing project activities. “Involving the community, especially local people, in every project activity is a commitment that has embedded Rekind’s work culture from the start,” explained Zainal Arifin, Rekind Site Manager at the Jambaran Tiung Biru Project.
Previously, at the 1st IDEAS 2022 Awarding event, Rekind was awarded the Silver Winner award in the category of Company Commitment to an Anti-Bribery Culture Through an Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP). This award shows Rekind’s commitment to continuing to build a work environment that supports the anti-corruption movement through the implementation of an Anti-Bribery Management System. IDEAS is a Strategic Communication/PR/PR Program competition event based on best practices in implementing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) communication. This practice is applied in every multinational private organization/corporation, national private sector, BUMN, BUMN Subsidiaries, BUMD, non-governmental organizations, government (including Ministries, Institutions, Regional Governments) State Universities and RSUP/RSUD throughout Indonesia.
