Digital technology innovation is being born again. This time it comes from the Rekinnovathon 2024 event which will be held from April 23 to May 14, 2024. This innovation is purely born from the various creativity of all employees of PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) and its Subsidiaries, both in the fields of technology, procedures, management, new business models, and development of work productivity.

This newly born innovation is intended to support the company’s activities, especially in supporting the process of carrying out future EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) project activities. Apart from that, this innovation is also believed to be able to minimize errors, improve performance, and communication, and prevent fraud.

“What was born today proves that Rekind still upholds a professional work culture and develops the competence of all its employees, including subsidiaries. “Through this innovation, we are confident that we will be able to improve Rekind’s performance in working on the EPC Project and support the business transformation that we are preparing well for,” stressed President Director of Rekind Triyani Utaminingsih after the 2024 Rekinnovathon Pitching & Awarding activity, at the Rekind Head Office, East Kalibata I/36, Jakarta, Tuesday (21/5).

This innovation is also able to reduce the level of risk which has always been a frightening specter in EPC project work, including preventing fraud. “This level of risk and fraud affects the income and level of trust of EPC companies, both as contractors and subcontractors,” added Triyani Utaminingsih.

Several innovations born from the annual Rekind innovation event include Monitoring Engineering Materials through the Digital Smart Procurement System. The innovation that was awarded first place at the annual Rekind event has an application work system that processes all material-related activities from the beginning of engineering (design) until arriving at the project location. Digitalization of Material Procurement Business Processes starting from the Engineering Stage (BQ), Procurement Process (Tender & PO), Expediting, Shipping, and Inventory on Site (Field Material Control System).

The second-place winner was awarded for innovation in the use of BOT as a medium for accessing project information. This innovation is here to answer difficulties in gaining access to information, which is a problem in itself when working on a project. Such project data on several individuals makes it difficult to obtain. Sometimes this data is not up to date because it needs to be combined with other parties’ data. This work makes the level of efficiency low and makes the risk of data errors when combining data high. In this way, decision-making by leaders can be delayed because the data needed for decision-making is not yet available.

BOT can be an option for presenting project information. This feature is found in applications that can be easily installed on each smartphone. The appearance is concise so it is very suitable for getting a general overview of the information you want to access.
