The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic several years ago has provided big lessons for all of us. The impact is enormous, starting from society, workers, company performance, and the economy, both nationally and globally.

For this reason, learning from existing experience, early prevention of any disease, such as TB and HIV/AIDS, has received a large portion of attention from PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind). Early prevention efforts are very important, especially in maintaining this company’s performance in the future.

This confirmation was conveyed by the President Director of Rekind, Triyani Utaminingsih, after signing the Joint Agreement on Preventing the Spread of Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS within the joint company of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka and the Pancoran District Health Center, South Jakarta, at the Rekind Head Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (19/6).

The focus of this Joint Agreement continued by Triyani Utaminingsih, is focused on preventing TB and HIV/AIDS in the workplace, educating employees, and providing support for those infected through counseling and informing understanding, management, and prevention of these infectious diseases.

Moreover, the correlation between TB and HIV/AIDS is very close. This can be seen from the large number of TB cases in countries with high HIV rates. More than 10 million people contract TB every year. “Through this joint agreement, Rekind will fully participate, especially in directly mapping areas that are at risk of spreading these diseases,” said Triyani Utaminingsih, who was present accompanied by Rekind’s Finance and HR Director Dedy Rinaldi and Edy Sutrisman, SVP Corporate Secretary & Legal.

Rekind will also implement the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, related to the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and TB. “This includes ensuring employee involvement in related programs and activities as well as promoting a work environment that is supportive and free from stigmatization and discrimination against HIV/AIDS and TB. “We believe that this activity has quite a big meaning, especially in supporting the progress and existence of this company in the future,” she added.

Rekind is determined to remain standing on the same vision, belief, and intention to continue to show the company’s best performance. “Hopefully, through this synergy, we can create maximum and beneficial results for the company, society, and all of us,” she hoped.
